

10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name ( AX) of the Lord, and they will fear you. The Lord your God will bless ( AU) you in the land he is giving you.ĩ The Lord will establish you as his holy people, ( AV) as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands ( AW) of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him. ( AT)Ĩ The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

( AR)ħ The Lord will grant that the enemies ( AS) who rise up against you will be defeated before you. ( AQ)ĥ Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.Ħ You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. ( AP)Ĥ The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock-the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. ( AM) 2 All these blessings will come on you ( AN) and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:ģ You will be blessed ( AO) in the city and blessed in the country. Then all the people shall say, “Amen!” ( AJ) Blessings for ObedienceĢ8 If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow ( AK) all his commands ( AL) I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. Then all the people shall say, “Amen!” ( V)ġ6 “Cursed is anyone who dishonors their father or mother.” ( W)ġ7 “Cursed is anyone who moves their neighbor’s boundary stone.” ( X)ġ8 “Cursed is anyone who leads the blind astray on the road.” ( Y)ġ9 “Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, ( Z) the fatherless or the widow.” ( AA)Ģ0 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his father’s wife, for he dishonors his father’s bed.” ( AB)Ģ1 “Cursed is anyone who has sexual relations with any animal.” ( AC)Ģ2 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.” ( AD)Ģ3 “Cursed is anyone who sleeps with his mother-in-law.” ( AE)Ģ4 “Cursed is anyone who kills ( AF) their neighbor secretly.” ( AG)Ģ5 “Cursed is anyone who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person.” ( AH)Ģ6 “Cursed is anyone who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out.” ( AI) ( R) 13 And these tribes shall stand on Mount Ebal ( S) to pronounce curses: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan and Naphtali.ġ4 The Levites shall recite to all the people of Israel in a loud voice:ġ5 “Cursed is anyone who makes an idol ( T)-a thing detestable ( U) to the Lord, the work of skilled hands-and sets it up in secret.” ( O) 10 Obey the Lord your God and follow his commands and decrees that I give you today.”ġ1 On the same day Moses commanded the people:ġ2 When you have crossed the Jordan, these tribes shall stand on Mount Gerizim ( P) to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, ( Q) Joseph and Benjamin. ( K) 8 And you shall write very clearly all the words of this law on these stones ( L) you have set up.” ( M) Curses From Mount Ebalĩ Then Moses and the Levitical ( N) priests said to all Israel, “Be silent, Israel, and listen! You have now become the people of the Lord your God.

( D) 3 Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, ( E) just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you. 2 When you have crossed the Jordan ( B) into the land the Lord your God is giving you, set up some large stones ( C) and coat them with plaster. 27 Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people: “Keep all these commands ( A) that I give you today.
